Work package 6: Socio-economic and environmental impact assesment

Co-Project leader: Dr. Hella Kehlenbeck

Staff

Jovanka Salzmann

Yield stability and further increases in productivity and quality of winter oilseed rape (WOSR) are challenged by changing weather conditions and efforts to increase sustainability in agriculture. INTEGRA aims to generate high-yielding, climate- and site-adapted WOSR hybrids with novel functionalities. These hybrids are developed for future sustainable agricultural practices with reduced fertilizer (N) and pesticide inputs, while improving yield stability and product quality. WP6 supports the INTEGRA process with an economic and environmental assessment.

  • Assess socio-economic and environmental impact of novel hybrids
  • Integrate socio-economic and environmental assessments dimensions with Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) into a pLCSA (prospective Life Cycle Sustainability assessment) framework
