Quantitative Disease Resistance (QDR) is controlled by multiple Quantitative Trait Loci (QTLs), each contributing differently to the resistance. Using
modern high-throughput phenotyping and RNA sequencing, we aim to identify candidate genes associated with resistance and to better understand the
underlying molecular mechanisms. Differentially Expressed Genes (DEGs) and Weighted Gene Co-expression Network Analysis (WGCNA) will be applied
to analyse up- and downregulated genes and co-expression networks, leading to the identification of central hub genes.

Automated detached leaf phenotyping for A. alternata and detached petiole phenotyping for S. Sclerotiorum are used to assess different virulence
parameters. This allows us to compare genotypes for Quantitative Disease Resistance (QDR). For infection with V. longisporum an automated whole plant system will be applied.
